Best for layers and super see through which is perfect for what I need. Love how juicy.
My major disappointment is that I was hoping this shade would look, as it does in some of the professional swatch photos; like a juicy, hot orange-red. It doesn't, sadly. Like another reviewer mentioned, it's more like a fluorescent coral, which really doesn't suit my olive skin. If bright coral is your bag, you'll love this.
It is, however, exactly the shade of plum tomato guts, so mission accomplished, Monique!
I noticed that this was a bit more translucent than my other Cracked jellies (which I have no issue with). This is also, of all my Cracked jellies, the smoothest and most consistent in application. No patchiness or tide lines here!
My final comments, which have been consistent across all of the Cracked shades I've tried so far, is that it takes an unusually long time for the polish to get to touch dry and further to get to full cure, regardless of topcoat used (I've tried with 3 different quick dry top coats from separate brands). I also don't love the brush, which I find too wide, thick, and stiff for smooth application, especially on my small nails. The brush did not impede the application of this shade, aside from making it less tidy to apply (I needed to use a cleanup brush, which is not typically a thing for me).
Gorgeous light bright jelly to layer with. So juicy!
Beautiful jelly that leans more orange than a true, deep red.
Absolutely perfect tomato red, really, depending on how many coats you do it can be any level of ripeness you like! I personally love it in three. Goes on so smoothly too. I'm already thinking of ways to use this outside summer!
