See Through Olive

Very olive, very see through.

I did not expect to love this because I don’t usually love sheer jellies but it builds really nicely. It is a great, flattering olive tone. I also made a fun swampy mani by doing a jelly sandwich with bow on top

Beautiful jelly, I absolutely adore this color but it is very thin and patchy for me. I'm not sure if I am applying this wrong. I did three thick coats on my ring finger and it still looks patchy to me at certain angles. It's almost fully opaque though. I think it would be amazing for layering over other polishes though. In the pictures, it's on my ring finger in three thick coats. The other polishes for comparison are (thumb to pinky):
- Dappled Willow (2 coats)
- Berried Juniper (2 coats)
- Sunlit Moss (2 coats)
- See Through Green (3 thick coats)
- Can't See Green (2 coats)

It’s exactly what it says on the tin. This is a nice sheer olive jelly. I like my jellies to be opaque and bouncy so this one I give three coats to and a thick top coat. The photo I posted is true to color

I absolutely love this polish - it is the perfect murky, transparent green. It feels very “Shrek.”

i was worried that it might be too crelly leaning for layering but it turned out great! the first coat was a bit streaky but it layered up nicely and the topper i used (mascara flakes) showed through. color is super rich and lovely

Great color! This looks nice and moody on its own, and will be a perfect base for any number of fall-inspired toppers. Seen on my middle finger here.

The positive: I *love* this colour! Beautiful, translucent yellow-olive- there aren't very many like this on the market. Not too much visible nail line at 3 coats, but still lets enough light through that nails look dimensional. I wouldn't wear this in less than 3 coats because of patchiness. The formula isn't perfect and application is nitpicky, but I still really enjoy the result and with 10% off, the price was quite reasonable for the volume of polish.

Critiques: My frustrations with this shade, which is the same as with nearly all of my Cracked jellies, is that the formula applies somewhat patchy. It's not as much of an issue with See Through Olive as some of my other Cracked shades, but it's worth noting. You won't get a perfectly even result; application is fussy.

As well, a general Cracked noticing, after having tried 13 of their polishes, is that I don't love the brush. I find it too wide, thick, and stiff, which makes applying already fussy jelly formulas harder. I've also noticed that the polishes (crellies, jellies, and cremes that I've tried) take a *notable* amount of time to set to touch dry and even longer to properly cure, regardless of the topcoat I use. This is not an issue I've had with any other brand of polish I've used.

In the picture I've included it's harder to tell than it was in person, but you'll notice variability in opacity from nail to nail and even within the same nail (see thumb and pinky) although I made an effort to paint 3 even coats on each nail. Still love the colour and will happily wear it again, but if you're used to a perfectly even Cirque, jelly, caveat emptor!

This polish is FANTASTIC!! it layers wonderfully, build to a stunning green and I even used it for jelly sandwich/pond mani and it worked so good! Cracked has the best jelly polish!

Unfortunately the brush is very wonky on my bottle of this polish. I tried sending a customer service message about my order a few weeks ago, but I haven't received word yet on any resolution. Everything else from my order is sooo good so I'm sure this is just a freak accident.

This is a plump, squishy jelly with a great formula in a true olive shade.

I have a stupid amount of Olive polishes, they're all different! But this is my first olive jelly and it is such swampy goodness!

Some would call this prugly, but is is stunning and natural looking. Excellent with burgundy.

this is a rather dark, almost brown colour. I like that it's a more sheer and true jelly

Color is pretty true to photos. I like it more for layering purposes but it's also a great prugly shade on it's own.
