The Shag
The Shag
The Shag is a soft hunter green with micro blue and green shimmers and a gold sheen. This green will surprise you. It transforms in the sunlight but looks absolutely stunning on cloudy days.
Fun Fact - The Shag is inspired by my grandparents green carpet. Back in their day every carpet was green and so were the appliances.
Pro Tip - This green was formulated to suit all skin tones if you are skeptical of trying green I dare you to give this one a chance

This has to be my new favorite polish! It is such an interesting/unique green with a lovely golden shimmer. I love wearing it with a matte top coat. The formula arrived thick (which is my preference) so I could add the thinner that I needed. The brush is great and it applies so evenly and was opaque in 2 coats.
I’m trying to get through my untried polishes from this year, so I decided to combined The Shag and 7:20 for my holiday manicure. The Shag is amazing in color and formula. I don’t have a color like this in my collection. Formula is like butter - perfect! I wore 7:20 as my accent nail with Orly’s flakie topper Turn It Up. I’m posting a pic here - few days old manicure - this is even after filing my nails wearing the polish - so very good!
Ordered The Shag during the anniversary sale (included in the Heroes Bundle). It is truly a gorgeous color in and out of the bottle! I did have to work quite fast with this one, even with my short nails - the brush was stiff and short, unlike what I had seen in swatch videos. This was true for several other bottles I received and at least one of the formulas performed better after I swapped out the brush (Donut Spunk). I did not get to test this shade with a different brush, as I had already passed it along to a friend who did not mind the application issues.
If you receive a bottle with the shorter stiff brush, treat it like a quick drying polish - it is a learning curve so FYI. I did two coats on my thumb. The color is truly beautiful, and should be a standard in anyone's collection (I literally have 3 other sage/jade greens from other brands so I have a type haha!).
This is such a beautiful polish! My picture doesn't do it justice. It has a subtle velvet look and is a very sophisticated, flattering green. The formula is fantastic and super easy up apply.
This color is unlike any I have purchased. The color reminds me of eggshell paint. Great coverage in two coats. Muted pearlized color that I have gotten many compliments on.
