I don’t use sticky base coat for my manis because I haven’t had issues with longevity using a regular basecoat BUT I just discovered how fabulous this is for nail art. Using this sticky base coat to adhere gems of all sizes - even large ones, is foolproof and sooooo much easier than dealing with nail glue.
Terrific "sticky" base product; I have tried other sticky base formulas, and this one is as good if not better than most, at an excellent price point. The benefit of a sticky base is the longevity you get from a manicure; I would say most of my Cracked manis last at least 1-2+ weeks without any flaking, and that is owed in large part to the sticky base.
I dont use sticky base coat under my mani’s but I recently used it to afix bling to a mani - this works so much easier and better than nail glue!
As described, this is a sticky base coat! It dries fast and feels tacky to the touch, so you know it's going to do its best to hold onto your manicure. I'm sure it would also work great as a step for applying chrome powders on regular lacquers (though I haven't tried that yet).
I’m giving it 4 starts as it’s not perfect. But it really does help my manis stay longer. When I don’t wear it they can flake or peel quickly. Idk if it’s my application or the chemistry of formulas, but once in a while the sticky base isn’t as effective. I probably also need to add a little thinner to the mix. I haven’t yet and it can get thick and stringy. Still, this is a must have for me. Love it
Sticky Base Coat saves polish without chipping for three or four days.
I have 6 top coats and tried all combinations of color + top coat combinations and couldn't find one that worked for me.
I dig this base coat, it's a dream to apply and has held up great for someone who's rough on their hands.

Unfortunately, this peels right off my nails. I've heard great things about this base coat from other people so I'm 99% sure it's just a body chemistry thing; some base coats just don't work for some people!
I have to admit I am totally addicted to nail strengtheners as base coats since I have very weak bendy nails that peel despite also being very short. Cracked, could you please make a strengthening/ repairing type of base coat one day?
I am still trying to remember to get this on top of that and underneath my favorite creams and jellies to give them a little more staying power.
This works great as a peely base coat. It'll come off the next day in one peel even with perfect prep and light wear. Stay away from water, your lacquer will fall right off.
I’ve been into stamping for about a year and it’s pretty much impossible without sticky base coat. This one gets the job done and I’d rather give my $$ to Cracked than the alternatives.
As other reviewers have noted, this worked as basically a peely base for me, and it's probably due to my nail chemistry/PVB. Might work better for you! I did like how smoothly my polish applied on top of it, so I will give it credit for that.
My manicures and pedicures last days longer when I use this base as opposed to no base or another brand.
This is going to be my new go to base coat for sure. I love that I can get a refill for it!
Played around with a jelly and magnetic topper using the base and not using the base. The base made the first coat of the jelly go on so smoothly and more evenly. The second coat felt like it grabbed more while evenly dispersing it. Without the base coat, I had to wait longer before being able to apply the second coat. The first coat wasn’t even and was splotchy, and the second coat required more focus. When it came to applying the magnetic coat, everything was easier and looked smoother in the nails where I had used the base coat. So while it might seem like “skipping the base coat = saving time” you end up spending more time between coats and applying each coat, and likely will result in needing to redo at least one nail.
I live to do decals and stamping and this is the perfect sticky base to use for that.
I use this with every mani now. I love how my polish applies over it. I change my polish too much to comment on longevity, however
I am more a fan of a strengthening base or ridge filler, but this does what it says. If you’re a sticky base fan definitely give it a try!

Something with my nails makes most base coats useless. I have had so many full coats just pop off in their entirety. This base coat truly sticks and works. I'm a nurse and I can wash my hands hundreds of times a day and not worry about my amazing nails.
This is the ultimate sticky base coat. I paint my nails typically at least weekly so want something that won't damage my nails, gives a good wear, but won't make me fight it for removal either. This checks all the boxes. Legit, if I can't find this base coat, I lose interest in wanting to do my nails. It even comes with me to the nail salon on my rare mani or pedi appointment days.
Unfortunately this does not work at all as intended for me. It dries pretty quick and even with multiple different top coats and layers, I still get the same issue every time: after 24-48 hours my nail polish starts to peel off. Sometimes the whole nail color peels off in one piece, or it starts with just a few bits peeling at the tips. It seems like this is a peely base coat on me.
Not Good! My polish lasted about two days and when I peeled off some of my polish, it was like it was attached to rubber glue, coming off like gooey strings were attached. This has never happened with any other base coat I’ve ever used. Terrible formula, waste of money
Works really well at keeping my mani from not chipping.
