I started my natural nail journey a year ago and I’ve been experimenting with lots of base coats to try to figure out what works best for me. Some cause peeling, some don’t dry quickly and cause bubbles in my polish, and some leave ridges visible. My nails are prone to peeling, so I bought this base coat with my wife in mind, but it worked so well for her I decided to try it even though it had PVB. Somehow my nail peeling IMPROVED since using this base coat! It’s plumping but also dries quickly, and disguises my ridges very well for a clear base coat! It’s the ONLY base coat I’ll use with my fine particle magnetics. I’ve never had such smooth and perfectly cured fine particle magnetics before. I also used Cracked’s top coat, but I used some thinner so it’s not too thick.
This is the best reverse stamping polish I’ve used. I don’t need a sticky base coat but I do need a reverse stamping adhesive. This sticky base stays tacky for quite a while and really grips onto a dry design. It’s also great for stretching stamp designs evenly because of how much it clings.
Great base cost without the no-no ingredients. Been using it consistently for over a month and my manis stay long while my nails chip less than when I used other brands. Pictured are freshly nail polish removed nails without any clipping or filing. No chips.
I don’t use sticky base coat for my manis because I haven’t had issues with longevity using a regular basecoat BUT I just discovered how fabulous this is for nail art. Using this sticky base coat to adhere gems of all sizes - even large ones, is foolproof and sooooo much easier than dealing with nail glue.
Terrific "sticky" base product; I have tried other sticky base formulas, and this one is as good if not better than most, at an excellent price point. The benefit of a sticky base is the longevity you get from a manicure; I would say most of my Cracked manis last at least 1-2+ weeks without any flaking, and that is owed in large part to the sticky base.
I dont use sticky base coat under my mani’s but I recently used it to afix bling to a mani - this works so much easier and better than nail glue!
As described, this is a sticky base coat! It dries fast and feels tacky to the touch, so you know it's going to do its best to hold onto your manicure. I'm sure it would also work great as a step for applying chrome powders on regular lacquers (though I haven't tried that yet).
I love this even more than the top coat! I'm very clumsy sometimes when I apply nail polish, regardless if it's color or a treatment or a base coat, and this made me feel like I was more competent than I really am.
Love this! I use this a lot when using Chrome over my air dry polish. it works like a dream.
really smooth formula that dries down fast
I bought this base coat to use as a sticky layer for burnishing glitter. This base coat is perfectly for this technique! It dries down tacky, so I don't have to fiddle around with drying time to try and achieve optimal tackiness. Highly recommend!!!
I’ve been using this base coat recently and my manis are so long lasting now! I can go up to a week easily without chips or lifting.
The CRACKED formulas truly work so well together and I’ve been able to get longevity out of traditional polish that matches my experience with gel without the tedious removal!
Only base that works with my manis, got over 7 days of wear ❤️

I wouldn't say that this one helps with longevity of my polish too much, I've actually found that it makes my polish come off in large pieces - which I'm not mad about! I use it sort of as a peel off base coat
That was on me for not reading the description more closely when I was starting out. But I won’t do polishes with PVB.
TBH, I thought most base coats were the same before trying this one. I can't go back now! My polish lasts so much longer (any brand) before chipping, and I feel like it grabs the polish as I apply.
It hurts my hurt to write a semi-negative review on a brand that's exceeded my expectations, but this base coat does nothing on my nails. I cannot get a mani to stay on for more than 24 hrs. It could that my nails and PVB dont mix but I do not know if I have a PVB free base in my collection. To end on a positive note, this applies so well, and the paddle brush works great on my wider nails!

In my experience the sticky base coat doesn't provide great adhesion to my nails -- maybe it's a skin chemistry thing -- so my manicures only last two or three days at most when I use it. I'm glad others are happy with it, but your mileage may vary!
I actually use this one for a prep coat for nail stamping art and it’s perfect
I hate to say it but.... This is not for me :( it bubbles so bad and is so thick I cannot get an even layer at all. I have never used a base coat that is as thick as this, so maybe I am just not used to the formula but this was very difficult to work with for me.
I have fairly brittle, bendy nails. I like this sticky base because yes, my polish actually stays on and lasts longer, but it's also the Goldilocks of strength; I have tried some that were too adhesive and damaged my nails, and some that didn't do anything at all. This base though, plays so nicely with my nails!
Loved how long my mani lasted with this.
One of my teen daughters has never been able to get anything to stay on her nails more than a day without peeling and chipping. I used this on her last time instead of another brand’s sticky base coat and we were both pleasantly surprised. Most fingers made it to day 10! Some chipped a little around day 6-7, but this was such a huge improvement for her.
