The formula is very thin and easy to apply. However, it does not blur my my very prominent ridges on my thumb nail. You can see the pictures: I have two coats of ridge filler and 2 coats of pickle plate. I can still see my ridges.
I’ve used ridge fillers from 2 other brands before and hated them. They both settled in the wrong places and took forever to dry. The cracked ridge filler couldn’t be more different. No lumps or obnoxious pooling, dries very fast, and easily fills in ridges and nail divots. I painted 2 thin coats and it gave all my nails a nice smooth base! Love the slight tint as well
It’s is the best base coat. I noticed a huge change in my nails and the health of them after using this as my primary base coat
It made the jelly polish on my very ridged fingers look smoother than usual
I am about a little less than halfway through my bottle and I am going back and forth with adding polish thinner to keep it easier to use. When it thickens up, it starts to get difficult for me to get it out of the bottle and onto my nails in a smooth coat. I do love the way it smooths everything over, though, and it dries fast. :)
I am borderline hyperthyroid and my nails show it. :( I have been very pleased with the Ridge Filler so far - the color is pretty on it's own, you could easily use it as a French manicure base. My ridges are quite pronounced on some nails so there's only so much any filler or topcoat combo can do, but I've been happy with this one. :) Would highly recommend. I might try doubling up on my problem nails in the future when I want to wear a light creme or neon again.
This does a good job filling ridges and staying neutral. It’s not great on its own like Neutralizer is, a little streaky in color for a standalone two coats.
I have a lot of ridges on my nails and 2 thin coats gave me a smooth canvas to paint over. It also dried quickly which was a plus! it is a bit streaky after 2 coats, but since I'll mostly be wearing it under other colours, I don't mind that too much
I don’t have super strong ridges but I liked how this went on and created a nice smooth base with just a blush of color. Self leveled great and dried quickly.
I’m so excited about this ridge filler! I’ve gravitated towards fun finishes because my nails have ridges and because I’m growing out damage and I’ve got all kinds of little dings and bumps. I haven’t felt comfortable wearing creams or jellies. But! Having full confidence in Cracked, I ordered this with several cream and jelly polishes and I am thrilled to report that this base does everything I need it to do to make sheer and smooth finishes work on my nails. I’m so pleased.
Wearing two coats of ridge filler and one coat of brownie pink.
I love this ridge filler! It's a gorgeous, soft, very sheer nude-pink tone that gives you that nice, smooth base you're always wanting from a ridge-filler.
I find this formula to be thinner than some of the other ridge fillers I've used, but it applies well, dries fast and gives me a nice soft pink tinted base to work from. I usually do 2-3 coats.
I was getting really frustrated with my aging nails ruining the look of my manicure. This ridge filler was the answer.
Dries fast, evens out nicely, really like it.
Makes a difference in smoothing the nail
I have extremely ridged nails, and this base coat really helps smooth everything out, which has really improved the look of my manis. I personally do two coats on all nails, because most of them really need it, but it also creates a really pretty subtle look because of the very light pink. As a result, it kinda works as a nice "blurring" base coat, though my nail line is still visible even with two coats
I was expecting it to be a little more opaque like others I've tried, so if you're trying to cover staining as well, you'll need to layer with something else. you also have to make sure to clean the neck EVERY time or you'll get little flakes that make it hard to work with. good for a base and thinner but still does a good job at filling ridges.
Protects nails from staining. My number one.
This is an OK ridge filler. It will even things out fairly well, though it is a littler on the thinner side. I usually like my ridge fillers to be a little thicker, as I find it helps fill in all the weird little dents & grooves I have in my nails.
This, along w the neutralizer, make a beautiful natural looking “clean girl” aesthetic…
The perfect prep for smooth nails
Love it! Thanks so much!
Great formula easy to work with, looking forward to using other Cracked necessities as well.
This is the best ridge filler I've used, it doesn't get streaky and gunky and looks beautiful on it's own in one or two coats.
Does what it says. Fills ridges in one coat, prevents staining, and technically can be built up to a pretty pink (but it will look streaky). Will continue to repurchase!
I have annoying vertical ridges in my nails but this ridge filler really helps even out my nail base!
a very decent ridge filler AND blurring base coat, especially for jellies :)
