Love the color, but not the formula

This is the third Cracked polish I've tried, the others being Cranberry Mold and Iced Toad. For both this polish and Iced Toad, I've struggled with the formula (the glitter in Cranberry Mold makes that one really easy to deal with). It's been difficult to figure out how thin or thick of a coat to apply for Rhubarb Pie Guts to not be streaky but also not cause weird clumps and deep, obvious brush strokes. I ended up putting a few drops of thinner in it and I think that helped a little. The color is great - you think it is a typical "boring" pink polish but then bam! You see orange!

Love it!

This polish is so pretty. I was worried it would be too orange on my skin tone but it is beautiful! I have been wearing it a few days and had a few chips but overall it’s holding up well. The formula was easy to apply as well.

Took a color risk and it paid off

This could have been awful on my cool skin tone but I actually love it. It’s usually pink and purple with an occasional blue shimmer and the orange only pops on rare occasions. It’s more of a glow than a dominant color. I love this polish so much more than I thought I would, it is so interesting and unusual

Best outdoors

I wish it was as shifty indoors as out. Mostly it is a gentle, plummy pink but shifts orange on an oblique angle. Colors much stronger in natural light. Looks smashing over grapeness (thumb and index). Hard to photograph.

Gorgeous and yummy!

Beautiful, glowy color! First coat was surprisingly more sheer than expected, second coat was perfectly opaque. Formula seems thicker than my other Cracked polishes, and brush strokes are visible if you’re not careful! If you cap your tips, do that first before the rest of the nail so the brush strokes aren’t visible.

Neutral with a little something extra

The formula is great and buildable. I recommend doing 3 coats as it creates a nice depth of color. It's a great almost mauve toned neutral. The subtle blue shimmer is what sets it apart and what turned my head. At some angles in full sunlight it looks like a bright copper. When I swatched it I was unsure and as I started applying it on my nails I was unsure but the third coat (thin coats) it was interesting. And by the next morning I loved it. I generally go for vivid or vampy colors so this was a departure for me, an unassuming romantic one.

The perfect pink for me

I have a lot of red undertones on my hands and so anything with a coppery or bronzy hue to it (warm) really works, and this polish does just that. It's so pretty and I love the formula application.

LOVE

It’s like the sassier, deeper sister to Raspberry Glaze. The shimmer is peachy in some angles and it’s just so beautiful to look at!

Lovely classic color

This is a lovely classic color. However, be warned that if you go light on coats the first coat or two may look like your nail is infected or something. It builds up nicely as a typical cracked shimmer.

Beautiful 3 Coater

This is so beautiful! Works well with my skin tone and is a great Fall/Thanksgiving color. First coat is definitely scary - very sheer, streaky, patchy - with bottle color nowhere to be seen. But, coat 2 evened it out and coat 3 sealed the deal for full opaqueness and bottle color match. I never wear polishes in 1 coat so this was not an issue in the end.

Pretty shimmer but not shifty

I picked this one up as a reward and it's really pretty! It looks flattering against my skin tone (I'm a neutral-warm medium deep) and is a great base for nail art. It takes 3 coats to be fully opaque though. I wouldn't call this one shifty - it looked like one shade to me for most part. There are blue and red shimmers in here but you only really see them when you hold your nails really close to your face.

Gorgeous pink-purple

This color really blew me away! I was expecting it to be a fall only type of color, but the Rosie pink makes it feel like something I’ll be able to wear into the spring. The blue sparkle is really something special in direct light as well.

Ultimately pretty but definitely a three coater

This is the first polish I’ve gotten from Cracked that I didn’t 100% love. Most have fantastic opacity, even the jellies. The first coat of Rhubarb was a sheer burnt orange that honestly kind of terrified me. The second coat was not a great improvement. It took a third somewhat thick coat to achieve the pretty swatch pictures color.

Subtle, not too orange - just what I was hoping for!

I was hesitant about this one, thinking the orange would be too intense but it's subtle. It really IS like cooked rhubarb. Mostly pink with a hint of orange only at certain angles. Just perfection.

Shifty beauty

The shifts in this one are so pretty. Peachy pinky red purple blue. Not overly flashy but so interesting to look at in different lights and at different angles. Love her.

GORGEOUS!

I love this polish! The colors are beautiful and super shifty, with orange, peach, pink, magenta, and red. The formula dries incredibly shiny and I didn't even need a top coat!
