This color pulls super gray on me but I've found that if I top it with Taro Milk Tea it looks more like the swatches. I don't think the pic I took has Taro Milk included though.
We have a trusty one coater! Dark purple seems like a nice subtle crème color and it’s so good to be able to apply as a one coater if needed. I can imagine it being a quick application for work.
Perfect cool-toned muted purple brown. Opaque in one coat on my shorties, with an easy to work with formula for a creme. Makes a great chic, elevated neutral, especially for fall. Also great for layering and accents. I've honestly been surprised just how often I've found myself reaching for Gills since adding it to my collection.
New favorite, but I say that with every new bottle I get from Cracked Polish. It’s like trying to pick a favorite child. This is beautiful and it goes on so smoothly. Highly recommend

This color is purple on me in pretty much all lighting situations, except very low I guess it could read brown or dark grey. It's lovely, it's as close to grey/brown as a purple can be. One coat wonder as well.
I knew I would love this polish. I cannot get enough of Cracked's unusual colors. Gills is my new palette cleanser, which appears brown, grey or purple depending on the lighting. I always get complimented when I wear this color. If I could only have One polish--Gills would be it.

If you enjoy looking at Morandi type colors, this is the polish for you. It’s beautiful on it’s own or with a topper, and if you’re a smooth hand with polish it’s a one-coater. I don’t have anything like it in my collection.

A gorgeous chameleon shade. It looks more muted smokey purple or more cool brown depending on the lighting, clothing, surroundings. One creamy, pigmented coat on my short nails is opaque, but I use two for depth. A unique color, I have nothing else like this in my collection!
I would describe the color as a kind of warm muted grey-purple. I dont think I'd use the word brown, personally. Very interesting and pretty

Fantastic formula that somehow is both purple and brown. You could absolutely wear this in one coat but I prefer to wear my manicures in two coats.

My favorite neutral creme.
My favorite type of neutral-cool and complex. It shifts from brown to gray-ish to a dusky purple depending on what you’re wearing, your skin tone, and the lighting. An easy color to return to when I want something that’s palette cleansing, and yet still a little edgy.
Is it brown? Is it purple? Is it grey? Is it charcoal? The answer to all of those questions is yes. It shifts with the light, what you are wearing, and possibly your mood. It makes it both versatile, and kind of hard to work with. As always, very pigmented and great coverage.
Gills is such a nice moody color, it makes me feel ready for fall. Kind of in between brown, purple, and gray on me.
