This is such an interesting color - not quite purple, not quite brown. I love it for fall! Feels chic and clean, but unique. It applied beautifully and could’ve passed with a single coat. Shown here in (1) direct sun and (2) on an overcast day.
This color pulls super gray on me but I've found that if I top it with Taro Milk Tea it looks more like the swatches. I don't think the pic I took has Taro Milk included though.
We have a trusty one coater! Dark purple seems like a nice subtle crème color and it’s so good to be able to apply as a one coater if needed. I can imagine it being a quick application for work.
Perfect cool-toned muted purple brown. Opaque in one coat on my shorties, with an easy to work with formula for a creme. Makes a great chic, elevated neutral, especially for fall. Also great for layering and accents. I've honestly been surprised just how often I've found myself reaching for Gills since adding it to my collection.
New favorite, but I say that with every new bottle I get from Cracked Polish. It’s like trying to pick a favorite child. This is beautiful and it goes on so smoothly. Highly recommend
Gills applied evenly for me. Such a pretty dusky purple.
This color is purple on me in pretty much all lighting situations, except very low I guess it could read brown or dark grey. It's lovely, it's as close to grey/brown as a purple can be. One coat wonder as well.
I don’t have any polishes in this color, it’s an interesting purple toned brown!
Sometimes I want a darker neutral. This is that and the purple tone makes it not boring. Not enough color intensity for me to wear alone but good as a background for stamping creamy yellow whites and soft pinks. Light blues too.
This was my first cracked creme and this formula is the best, it made me go ahead to order 5 more cracked cremes and I love them all!
Ok so I was intrigued by this one and really glad I got it—Gills reads modern, neutral, fresh for Fal/Winterl. Even my teenagers loved it. Gills also looks cool
with the matte top coat. She’s that effortlessly cool crème you didn’t know you’d love so much!

Gills! Opaque in one coat. Looks gray in some light, brown in other, but purple most of the time. Love the way this looks next to Banana Slug.

I don't normally go for creme finishes, but something about this color called to me. It's like the perfect cool-toned purple-brown. Can't wait to wear it this fall
Moody purple gray
I knew I would love this polish. I cannot get enough of Cracked's unusual colors. Gills is my new palette cleanser, which appears brown, grey or purple depending on the lighting. I always get complimented when I wear this color. If I could only have One polish--Gills would be it.

If you enjoy looking at Morandi type colors, this is the polish for you. It’s beautiful on it’s own or with a topper, and if you’re a smooth hand with polish it’s a one-coater. I don’t have anything like it in my collection.

A gorgeous chameleon shade. It looks more muted smokey purple or more cool brown depending on the lighting, clothing, surroundings. One creamy, pigmented coat on my short nails is opaque, but I use two for depth. A unique color, I have nothing else like this in my collection!
