Beads and Throws

I got this in the Mardi Gras combo with Broken Glowstick. They make a fantastic pair and both colors really complement each other. Something to note is that unlike Broken Glowstick, this polish is very sheer. Regardless, two coats was good enough for me to look sufficiently pigmented and opaque (though light still passes through a little bit). Note that this polish is slightly gritty and textured (see pics). I do wish this shade or purple leaned a bit more pink but it's still a good color and polish nonetheless.

Nearly opaque in two coats. Use thicker top coat as the polish is somewhat textured.

I was so excited for this one and the color is beautiful. I just didn’t like the little bits in the polish - not sure what to call them as they weren’t flakies. On middle and ring nails in pic.

Cracked glitter polishes have me loving glitter again! Purple + glitter is my happy.

A rich purple polish infused with dazzling pink aurora pigments and eye-catching red shimmers and glitters. Almost has a metallic sheen. In the photos Beads and Throws is topped with Cafe Countertop on the ring finger, and with Mascara Flakes on the pinky.

The beady sparkles give it a different vibe and the color is really vibrant on the nail.

Very pretty base color and shimmer but the red glitter kinda ruins it for me. It clashes with the purple.

This was the first cracked polish I tried, and the formula, color, and shine were perfection.

Louisiana born and raised, I had to get this polish. I am a sucker for all things Mardi Gras. It's rare that I like any purples but it's got the perfect undertone for me. The sparse red glitter does give it a textured look and feel. I would add a glitter smoothing top coat or two top coats if you aren't a fan of that.

This is the perfect Halloween and Mardi Gras color. This formula is amazing 2 coat of polish completely covered any visible nail line.

it's a very pretty polish & i like the look of the texture but it can require a little finessing during application.

I love this color but don't love the texture of the polish. Cracked warns about this in the description so it wasn't a surprise but I did need to use a glitter grabber to make it smooth to my liking. That isn't a huge deal but is an extra step for me, hence the 4 stars. The color is really gorgeous though!

Ugh, this purple is so so good. I was bummed when I missed this the first time. It was worth the wait fo sho!

I'm not typically a purple polish person so I was hesitant but so pretty in person!

Wore this alongside its counterpart in the Mardi Party set, a one-coat black gloss, and Mooncat's Meowtek, which played off both this and Broken Glow Stick gorgeously. Unlike Broken Glow Stick, this has small granular glitters that didn't totally thrill me; they gave each coat a pebbly texture, but didn't add considerable additional gleam. I'll try with a topcoat and see how my opinion changes on it, but it's something to consider carefully when planning your manicure.

Awesome color but weird effect/texture? The color is so fun and bright. I love the shimmer but something about the texture or the formula makes it look like it’s got bubbles when it may not or it is the only one creating bubbles in a skittle with other colors. Will try it again to see if it continues to lay down weird.

Absolutely beautiful! Love this shade of purple and the shimmers make it really stand out. The reflective glitters are so pretty when the sun hits. I used a glitter smoother to smooth out the glitters and give it a bit more depth. Looks so good!
